William J. Gretta, PE
Concord Engineering Director
Bill has overall responsibility for the Environmental business unit, including project execution and oversight. He will ensure that all project and testing activities are done to customer requirements and will be the direct contact with the customer on all major technical issues. His extensive post-combustion NOx control system experience will be a key design and implementation resource for all projects. Bill has over 25 years of experience in the air pollution control industry with special emphasis on the design of SCR systems for coal-fired boiler, simple cycle or HRSG systems, SCR and CO catalyst, electrostatic precipitators, fabric filters and FGD systems. His expertise includes SCR systems and gas flow modeling of air pollution control equipment is recognized throughout the air pollution control industry. He holds two patents for ammonia vaporization equipment designs for SCR systems and is a licensed Professional Engineer in New Jersey.
Concord Project Manager
Rob has over 30 years of experience in the Power Generation and Industrial Systems Industries. In addition to working for CEG, he has extensive technical experience working for Independent Power Producer (IPP)s and Turbine Manufacturers. Areas of expertise include Power Systems Design, Piping and Pumps, Environmental Permitting, Thermodynamic Modeling, Steam & Gas Turbines, Contract Negotiations, and Administration. Since joining Concord Engineering in 1991, he has worked extensively with Utility and Pharmaceutical Clients, Combined Cycle Projects, Industrial Systems and Thermal Energy Contractor. Areas of responsibility include Project Management and, Lead Mechanical, Commissioning and Field Engineer.
Concord Project Director
Kevin has over thirty years of diversified mechanical engineering and managerial experience in the power industry. As project manager, startup manager, engineering manager, project engineer, and lead engineer Mr. Best supervised various engineering and design teams on power plant projects that ranged from 30 megawatts (MW) to 650 MW. As a field supervisor, he was responsible for the direction of operations and maintenance personnel during the implementation and startup of numerous plant modifications as well as corrective and routine maintenance work at utility power stations. Mr. Best is technically accomplished in a broad range of power plant mechanical equipment: steam and gas turbines, fired boilers, heat recovery steam generators, SCR/CO catalyst systems, pumps, compressors, fans, condensers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, pulse jet fabric filters, and solids handling equipment, as well as system processes: steam, condensate, feedwater, oil, cooling water, gas supply and filtration, and vacuum conveying. Mr. Best is a licensed Professional Engineer in California.
